The Interact computer had a very short manufacturing run of less than a year. The Interact Company went
bankrupt soon after production started and only a few thousand made it into stores.
MicroVideo took over Interact between 1979 and 1980 and made some major modifications to the original Interact.
In late 1980, a French company took over Interact and sold the new systems under the Victor Lambda name.
Like the TI-99/4 and PET 2001 computers, the Interact
had an insufficient keyboard, which was quickly replaced by a more standard one.
The Interact had a labor-intensive construction - dozens of wires had to be manually soldered in place
by skilled technicians.
